Since the launch of the new AeroComfort 3.0 range in 2017, Scicon Bags has formed several exciting new partnerships across all cycling disciplines, including with international mountain bike team, Trek-Selle San Marco. After a successful first season together, SCICON is pleased to prolong the partnership through 2018, supplying the team with a range of technical bags to facilitate their demanding travel needs.

Trek-Selle San Marco riders will benefit from the hugely popular Scicon AeroComfort MTB 3.0 TSA bike travel bag as they journey around the world with their Trek Procaliber 9.9 and Top Fuel 9.9 Project One bikes in search of success off-road, as well as staying organized in their travels with the Scicon Race Rain Bag, each customized to the individual riders.

“It’s a pleasure for us to renew our partnership with SCICON for the second year,” explained Team Manager, Marco Trentin. “Our athletes travel a lot with their mountain bikes to races and training camps all around the world. Both riders and staff have experienced comfort and safety during their travels with Scicon Bags, as so we are happy that the team can still count on the professionalism of the Italian brand.”

The team stepped up to the big stage in 2016 when international bike manufacturer, Trek, became a title sponsor, seeing the team expand with a roster of international riders competing in marathon and cross-country events around the world. Riders include two-time Italian marathon champion Samuele Porro, who joined teammate Damiano Ferraro at the 2016 ABSA Cape Epic, eventually finishing 3rd overall.

In 2017, Ferraro joined Trek-Selle San Marco teammate Fabian Rabensteiner, at the race, finishing 27th overall, taking 2nd on the final stage. With the ABSA Cape Epic, a race sponsored by SCICON, being a major event in the team’s calendar, they will again be looking for a strong result in South Africa this March; together with the world and European championships both of which will be on the radar for the team’s riders to fight for the highest result possible.

“Having a diverse range of teams linked with different bike brands across various disciplines works well for us and the production and refinement of our products, in search of perfection,” explained Scicon Bags Brand Manager, Christian Pearce. “Working with the Italian Team Trek Selle San Marco allows us to keep in touch with the brand’s Italian heritage, supporting them in their international racing needs”.
