As the 2019 season gets underway in Europe, SCICON is pleased to announce its support of the WorldTour Bahrain Merida Pro Cycling Team, the third consecutive season that the two will be partners.

With an international race calendar that spans all continents of the globe now, the demands of a WorldTour team travel needs are becoming greater and greater. From flying to Australia in January, through to travelling to China in October, the airmiles that the team puts in over the year are substantial. For many races, bikes are stowed away in team buses and trucks and transported around Europe, but when the destination is further afield, in California or Canada for example, the team rely on their fleet of team custom AeroComfort ROAD 3.0 TSA bike travel bags.
At races the unmistakable red individual rider Race Rain Bags each brandishing rider names and flags, while team staff benefit from a range of bags to facilitate their storage needs such as the Soigneur bags often spotted on the bags of the team staff awaiting the riders at the finish line.

Looking for more success in 2019
Bahrain Merida got their season underway at the Tour Down Under before heading to Spain and them Oman where the team notched up their first victory of the new season through sprinter Sonny Colbrelli. The team retained star rider and four-time Grand Tour winner Vincenzo Nibali for this year, who took a stunning solo victory at Milan-Sanremo last season. Both Nibali and his teammates will be looking to better their tally of 26 race wins in 2018, and SCICON will be there every step of the way.

“We’ve put in a lot of time over the past months with all the team staff and riders taking care of every minute detail on both their road and TT bikes; integrating ourselves with the technical and mental aspects of the team to deliver our best service,” explained Niklas Quetri of ASG Bike Science.
The thanks from every rider at the end of their bike fit was already enough return for all the effort we put in.”
