Connecting more riders globally with cycling in South America, Scicon Bags is pleased to announce a new partnership with the GFNY Colombia which takes place on 18 March 2018, part of the GFNY global cycling marathon series.
Starting in Bali on 4th February, the GFNY World Series runs across five continents, finishing in Chile on 25th November. Each event follows a similar format where riders go up against each other and themselves to ride against the clock on closed, or partially closed, roads, much like in the hugely popular marathon running format. With chip timing, results, rankings and prizes across all age groups, the events are as professional as they come.
The GFNY Colombia event offers two distances, either 100km or the full 140km, each covering a spectacular route through the rolling countryside that the country has to offer. The main, full distance route sees riders tackle the locally-infamous La Cuchilla mountain – climbing for 11.7km to a maximum altitude of 3,365m above sea level, a test for even the strongest of cyclists.
To alleviate the stress around traveling so to allow riders to focus on just the cycling itself, SCICON offers the perfect companion for riders making the journey to the event. Whether coming from within Colombia or internationally, the Scicon AeroComfort ROAD 3.0 TSA bike travel bag is the perfect bike bag to quickly and safely pack and transport your bike.
Always looking to open up the world to cyclists traveling with their bikes, the new partnership shines a spotlight on cycling in Colombia and South America, on a country that has produced more and more top professional cyclists over the past few years. SCICON wishes all riders competing at the event the best of luck.
