In celebration of the Laureus World Sports Awards this week in Monaco, IWC Schaffhausen and Scicon Bags have collaborated to design a special edition Scicon AeroComfort ROAD 3.0 TSA bike travel bag for a select group of Laureus friends and ambassadors heading to the ceremony in Monaco.

The Laureus World Sports Awards originate from the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation which has been harnessing the collective force that sport offers to drive social change and offer more promising futures for disadvantaged children and adolescents since 1999. Each year the world’s media collectively vote for for the Laureus World Sports Awards nominees, across a range of categories, and for 2018 the list of names from across all disciplines of sport is as impressive as ever, including the likes of Roger Federer, Chris Froome, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lewis Hamilton and many more outstanding athletes.

The new AeroComfort 3.0 design evolved together with the creative centers of IWC Schaffhausen and Scicon Bags to feature the iconic IWC Big Pilot on the side of the bag in addition with logos of Laureus, Mercedes Benz, Alegra Capital and TUI. Each bag has been specially customized and individualized with the bike riders name, international country flag of nationality/residence and also their respective limited edition number, subtilely shown in the date aperture of the watch.

Twenty of the bags have been made for a list of important and respected names from the worlds of both business and sport including the Laureus Academy member Fabian Cancellara who all share three things in common; Friends of IWC Schaffhausen and Laureus and are also participants in TorTour which is an ultra-cycling event held in Switzerland raising funds for Laureus Foundation Switzerland.

Scicon Bags Brand Manager, Christian Pearce said of the new bag design: “It’s great to be associated in our own way to such a prestigious event in the international sporting calendar, and to create this special design with the people involved. What started out as an idea between friends has turned into a special design that won’t go unnoticed when each bag’s owner travels with their bike, both to the awards this week, and to all their cycling adventures in the future”.
