The most successful WorldTour cycling team of 2017, Quick-Step Floors is once again putting its trust in Scicon Bags for its travel and technical bag needs for this year.
Having racked up 56 professional race wins last year alone, the Quick-Step Floors team was at the forefront of the action from the start to the close of the season – a season that becomes increasingly global each year. With this globalization comes an increased need for the safeguarding of the team’s fleet of Specialized bikes in transport, and technical bags to help both riders and staff stay organised.
As such, Quick-Step Floors will have at their disposal a range of bags solutions, including the new Scicon AeroComfort 3.0 TSA bike travel bags, across road and time trial, as well as the hugely popular Scicon Race Rain Bags.
Ricardo Scheidecker, Technical & Development Director, explains: “The way we transport our bikes is essential for our ability to compete. The team travels thousands of kilometers every year for races and training camps all over the world, especially overseas. Bikes are carried to airports, planes and then races, and back again to our base several times during the year.
“With Scicon Bags we have a trusted and premium bike travel bag partner, providing the safety that our bikes need with a high-end technical product, making also packing and unpacking an easy task to our mechanics and riders, every time it’s time to get on a plane, boat or train.”
The team has strength-in-depth within its ranks, with star names including Philippe Gilbert, winner of last year’s Tour of Flanders and Amstel Gold races; Elia Viviani, Olympic Gold Medallist on the track; Julian Alaphilippe, Grand Tour stage winner and huge promise for the future; the recent E3-Harelbeke winner Niki Terpstra, and many more.
On writing, the team has already achieved 18 race wins since the start of the season, four of those coming in WorldTour races, which sets the scene for another success-laiden season racing around the world, and traveling with Scicon Bags.
Christian Pearce, Scicon Bags brand manager, added: “We’ve built a successful and beneficial relationship with Quick-Step Floors over the years and so we’re pleased, and proud, to once again be at the heart of their organizational needs this year.”
Having already raced across three difference continents this season, the team will next tackle the Spring Classics of northern Europe, before gearing up for the opening Grand Tour of the season, the Giro d’Italia.
