As the cycling calendar, both professional and recreational, grows globally, more and more stunning landscapes are discovered which just need to be ridden. One such country ready to be explored on two-wheels is Panama, in Central America, and with a new partnership between Scicon Bags and the Gran Fondo Panama, which sees SCICON as the official bike bag partner of the event, this dream can become a reality.

The Gran Fondo Panama, taking place on March 4 2018, offers two distances to amateur riders of all ages and abilities, with the opportunity to ride shoulder-to-shoulder with star names from the sport, including Alberto Contador and Purito Rodriguez. This new partnership sees Scicon Bags facilitating travel to and from the one-day event in Panama for riders, by providing a quick and easy bike travel bag or case solution for transporting their bike to and from the event, whether traveling by car, train or aeroplane.

The Scicon AeroComfort ROAD 3.0 TSA bike travel bag is the perfect travel companion for riders heading to the event by plane, train or car, providing ideal transportation for your bike. Traveling with Scicon Bags to the GF Panama will allow riders to take their minds off the stresses of lengthy and technical bike packing and unpacking time, allowing them to focus on getting out and riding, with its innovative and lightweight design.

Riders taking part in the GF Panama can choose between two distances, either opting for the shorter 95km option, or testing themselves over the longer 125km course, which together form the largest cycling event in Central America with over 4,000 participants taking to the road. Both routes take the peloton from coast to coast, starting from the city of Colón, on the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic coast, to the Causeway on the Pacific side. The shorter route is designed for both experienced riders and those who are new to the sport. It requires prior preparation without needing years of experience. The longer 125km route is a demanding but satisfying challenge that will become the best experience of your life.

The peloton will have an additional touch to it as several big names from the professional racing scene will take part. Riders will have the chance to rub shoulders and test themselves against riders including Ivan Basso, Rodriguez, Oscar Sevilla, Victor Hugo Peña, Andres Parra, and the recently retired superstar, Contador.
