Nicolas Coosemans is Crowned World Bike Packing Champion 2016
Etixx – Quick-Step mechanic Nicolas Coosemans takes the win at the 2016 World Bike Packing Championship and breaks a world record in the process.
The Belgian mechanic competed against 5 other mechanics from other pro cycling teams with an incredible time of 3.01 minutes which was a full 25 seconds faster than Alejandro Torralbo Pulido from Tinkoff who placed 2nd. Here’s the full line-up & times:
For those of you who missed the competition, the objective is very simple: each team mechanic packs the Scicon AeroComfort 2.0 TSA in the fastest time possible. There were a set of simple rules that each mechanic had to follow which you can read here.
The individual videos of each mechanic’s attempt to get the fastest time were released one by one throughout the Giro d’Italia. Watch Nicolas Coosemans’s winning entry below:

And the winner of our #WBPC2016 competition is Domen Stampfl from Slovenia who successfully guessed the fastest time of the 2016 tournament which was 03:01 minutes. A Scicon AeroComfort 2.0 TSA bike bag, as used by the pro teams, is headed his way!
