SCICON BAGS LAUNCHES TREK-SELLE SAN MARCO TEAM PARTNERSHIP
A new off-road adventure is coming for SCICON, with the announcement of an exciting new Trek-Selle San Marco team sponsorship.
Born five years ago from the union of two big and historic cycling brands – the Italian Selle San Marco and the US based Trek – the team has achieved and exceeded its primary purpose: investing in the best young Italian MTB riders and allowing them grow before dominating international off-road competitions.
In 2016 Trek became a title sponsor of the team, and the “black-orange fluo” outfit was composed of international riders competing in Marathon and cross-country world championships. These include the two-time Italian Marathon champion Samuele Porro and Russian Marathon champion Alexey Medvedev, who teamed up together at this year’s Absa Cape Epic, finishing third on the opening stage of this race.
The duo of Samuele Porro and Damiano Ferraro made history at last year’s Cape Epic, being the first Italian team to finish on the podium at the exhausting South African MTB race.
We are pleased to extend our sponsorship with Trek, one of the best bike manufacturers in the world, supplying the Marathon and XC team Trek-Selle San Marco with the new SCICON AeroComfort MTB 3.0 Bike Travel Bags.
We are also proud to develop a strong partnership with a brand of such quality and pedigree as Selle San Marco, one that hosts a 42 year history in manufacturing and selling bike saddles.
Said Christian Pearce, Scicon Bags Brand Manager
It’s a pleasure to welcome Scicon as a partner of our team. It’s a well known brand in the world of cycling, supporting many professional teams and athletes both road and off road. Having its products with us is a signature of guarantee. We experienced that recently for Cape-Epic traveling. Our athletes are really happy and proud to be supported by such a brand and high quality bags.
Said Marco Trentin, Team Coordinator of Trek-Selle San Marco team
The team has already raced at the Asba Cape Epic and at South Garda Bike this season, and new adventures await, also for the talented U23 rider, Gioele de Cosmo and the Elite team’s new-arrival, Marco Tecchio.
Scicon Bags is supplying the team with a fleet of customized SCICON AeroComfort MTB 3.0 TSA and Race Rain Bags.
