60-Second Interview with triathlete Paul Ambrose

Paul Ambrose is not only one of the top Ironman triathletes in Australia having won IM Australia twice but has also collected Championship titles from around the world including IM Louisville and podium positions at IM Canada, Cozumel 70.3 and many more.

He managed to spare a minute for his new travel sponsor – Scicon Bags – to discuss fears, achievements and, of course, bike bags.

Paul Ambrose

Biggest fear?  Not sure exactly. I’m not very fond of heights

Greatest Obstacle? Living away from home for 6 months or more at a time

Superstitions? Spilling salt, walking under ladders I try to avoid

Biggest achievement? Winning Ironman Australia twice

Favourite cycling destination? Colorado Rockies

Favourite song to work out to? ACDC Highway to Hell. Gets me going every time….because 9 times out of 10, when it comes on my play list, I genuinely feel like I am on the highway to hell

Spirit animal? Kookaburra

Good luck charm? A deep breath

One thing nobody knows? I don’t like crowds

Never have I ever… Been to Antartica

Best thing about having a Scicon bike bag? Time saver
