Orica-GreenEDGE: The Team that Travels Farthest
Orica-GreenEDGE are travelling huge distances every year, from races, to training camps to back home for a fleeting visit and then on to another race. All pro riders lead a travelling lifestyle but the Orica-GreenEDGE riders, many of whom are, of course, Australian, really do have to go that extra 10,000 miles.
For cyclists it’s really important to have a good bike bag, particularly in our team because we are full of Australians. Not only do we fly to races but we always fly home and to go home for us is halfway around the world.
– Simon Clark
Our Tour Of California article gave an insight into the huge amount of equipment that needs to be flown over to races further afield and the complex logistical processes involved in doing so. This the the norm for almost every race and training camp for Team Orica-GreenEDGE. They do have a service course in Northern Italy but often the riders come and go from different places around the world, taking their bikes and equipment with them.
We caught up with some of the riders at Tirreno-Adriatico this year and asked them about travelling with the Scicon AeroComfort 2.0 TSA bike bag.
