MAURO ADOBATI IS CROWNED WORLD BIKE PACKING CHAMPION 2017
Trek-Segafredo mechanic Mauro Adobati breaks the Scicon World Bike Packing Championship record, packing the new AeroComfort ROAD bike travel bag in 2’34”.
Trek-Segafredo’s Italian mechanic Mauro Adobati has won the third edition of the SCICON World Bike Packing Championship in a world record time of 2’34″. The competition involved six mechanics from six UCI WorldTour pro cycling teams who took on the challenge – packing the SCICON AeroComfort ROAD 3.0 TSA bike travel bag in the fastest time possible.
While some athletes compete all their life to break records in their sporting discipline, the mechanics of the professional peloton had a time to beat: the 3’01” record set last year by the then Etixx-Quick-Step mechanic Nicolas Coosemans at the WBPC 2016. Mauro Adobati, Trek-Segafredo mechanic, succeeded. Coosemans himself went faster than his effort last year, packing a Quick-Step Floors Specialized bike in 2’54”.

The individual videos of each mechanic’s attempt to record the fastest time were released one-by-one throughout the Giro d’Italia. Watch Mauro Adobati’s winning entry below:
