Klas Johansson is Crowned World Bike Packing Champion 2015
From a team who are making waves across the pro-cycling scene this year. MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung mechanic Klas Johansson wins the first ever World Bike Packing Championship.
The Swedish mechanic competed against 8 other mechanics from other pro cycling teams with an incedible time of 3.13 minutes which was a full 14 seconds faster than James Griffin from Cannondale-Garmin who placed 2nd and was closely follwed by Sebastian Nittke from the Women’s team Velocio-SRAM. For those of you who missed the competition, the objective is very simple: each team mechanic packs the Scicon AeroComfort 2.0 TSA in the fastest time possible. There were a set of simple rules that each mechanic had to follow which you can read here.
The individual videos of each mechanic’s attempt to get the fastest time were released one by one throughout the Tour De France. Watch Klas Johansson’s winning attempt below:
