#GOINGPLACES – XPDTN3 TACKLE LA RIOJA
In one of their latest off road adventures, the XPDTN3 team headed to tackle the northern Spanish province of La Rioja. In search of gravel trails, vineyard grapes and fine gastronomy, the guys set off on another of their typical escapades – in search of freedom through rarely covered valley roads and dirt tracks, taking in the scenic backdrops and landmarks along the way.
Amainly warm three days of riding, with the stark contrast of a freezing cold day in the mountains of Ezcaray, saw the guys visit old monasteries, feed on tortilla de patatas, push the 3T Exploro bikes to their limits and sample some of the regions infamous wine.
A VISIT TO LA RIOJA WOULDN’T BE COMPLETE WITHOUT A BOTTLE TO TAKE HOME
“Red, rosé or white?” asks the waiter, as we struggle to take the gloves off our frozen hands. “Red’s good” we say, more into the hot food than the famous Rioja. After a frozen descent from the mountains of La Demanda in sub-zero temperatures, blood is finally coming back to our limbs in this small and cozy restaurant…
RIDING THROUGH VINEYARDS AT THE START OF GRAPE HARVEST
