#GoingPlaces – XPDTN3 in Idaho
XPDTN3 is a new collective of photographers, ex-pro cyclists, adventure-seekers and people who work in the bike industry who love expeditions, but, like most people, don’t have time for 5 weeks in Mongolia or 3 months in Peru. Over the coming months, they will be embarking on 3-day bike ‘off the beaten track’ trips around the world.
Steve Graepel and Chris Minson travel to Idaho to ride some gravel and dirt tracks then wash it all off in the area’s famous hot springs. Apparently this combo of riding and hot springs goes together like cookies and cream (which is something else one should indulge in during a visit to Idaho). If you like the idea of log cabins , catching your own fish for dinner, french toast with caramalized bacon and pedalling through mile upon mile of forest trails followed by a dip in a natural spring, then Idaho is the place for you to #BringYourBike.
Riding the hot springs route allowed us to soak in the views as well as the spectacular springs. People ask which one was my favorite. Honestly? At the end of the day, it’s the one we ended up in, chatting up the day’s honest efforts with friends. So #BringYourBike and bring trunks and hop on in.
The XPDTN3 Team explorers use custom AeroComfort 2.0 TSA bike bags with thru-axle mounts.
