#GOINGPLACES – XPDTN3 DESERT RIDING IN THE KAROO, SA
Home to the Swartberg mountains, and a picturesque gravel rider’s paradise, the semi-desert that is The Karoo formed the location of XPDTN3’s recent three day riding trip to South Africa. With 3T Exploro bikes in tow and accommodation sorted, all the riders had left to do was to explore their way round the off road tracks that unfurled in front of them.
Tackling the lengthy 20km Swartberg Pass, climbing to over 1500m altitude, as well as the dusty descents, the XPDTN3 riders take in the surroundings and scenery at every opportunity, stopping to capture often unseen angles from two wheels.
The team’s 3T Exploro bikes are well looked after in travel by the AeroComfort 3.0 TSA bike travel bags
At the bottom of the pass, most people will turn left, to visit the Cango Caves and then continue to Oudtshoorn. Our trip was about exploring, so we turned right, but not without a welcome coffee break and snack.
Fact – The South African ostrich industry accounts for ¾ of the global ostrich market
The XPDTN3 Team explorers use custom AeroComfort 3.0 TSA bike bags with thru-axle mounts to keep their bikes safe on their travels. #BringYourBike
