Fabian Cancellara’s Custom Spartacus AeroComfort 2.0
Fabian Cancellara is due to make a comeback today at the Tour des Fjords after crashing out of E3 Harelbeke and missing his favourite Classics- Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix. We’re looking forward to seeing Spartacus back in action pedaling his way the concrete toward the finish line.
Fabian is one of the most celebrated road racers around, with an enormous and very active fan base. He’s known for being a Classics specialist, a top notch time trialist and a workhorse for his team mates who have general classification aspirations.
Scicon’s sponsorship of Trek Factory Racing started four years ago back in 2011 when the team was founded under the name ‘Leopard Trek’. Cancellara been riding with them from the start therefore travelling with Scicon Bags for 4 years too.
We caught up with him at this year’s Tirreno-Adriatico. We talked travel tips, favourite cycling destinations and, of course, the AeroComfort 2.0 bike bag.
Trek Factory currently have their own team Edition AeroComfort 2.0 (available soon to buy). But we wanted to do something special for Fabian last year after his third Tour of Flanders win by creating a ‘Spartacus’ edition AeroComfort 2.0.
We worked closely with Trek, using a similar design to that of his custom 2014 Trek Domane so that the bike bag matched the bike nicely. And it stil matches nicely as this year, as his 2015 bike is very similar but white instead of black. Here’s a video about Fabian 2015 custom Trek Domane filmed by Cycling News TV. This video was actually filmed in the Scicon pop-up photo/video studio at this year’s Tirenno-Adriatico race.
This special edition AeroComfort is not available for general resale but our standard AeroComfort 2.0 TSA is available here.
