Dame Sarah Storey & Sports Tours International #PackSafeRideFast

Dame Sarah Storey is the UK’s most decorated Paralympian with 11 Paralympic gold medals and an astonishing 72 world records and counting. She’s also an ambassador for Scicon travel partner Sports Tours International.

She’s been attending ST International camps since she first started out as a swimmer. Today, she continues to use the expertise to perfect her training and preparation regime for the wide variety of cycling disciplines that Sarah competes in. Her all time favourite destination for training is Lanzarote where she’s busy training away as we speak. She particularly likes it because of how easy it is getting out there and the fact that it caters all ability levels. The weather is probably a bonus too!

Sports Tours International also organises tours centered around the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia and La Vuelta which “Gives keen cyclists an insight into the lifestyle of a pro road racer” according to Dame Sarah.

Sarah recently took part in the 2014 Ride London even with the Sports Tours International crew and described it as being “amazing to not only ride along the closed roads in London but also meet other like-minded individuals who love cycling.”

My favourite thing about Sports Tours International is their expertise for getting riders straight to the heart of the cycling action.

When it comes to travelling with a bike, Sports Tours International always recommend that the participants of their tours and camps travel with a Scicon AeroComfort (bike bag) or Aerotech Evolution (bike box) and offer an exclusive discount to every sign up. Dame Sarah Storey also has her very own AeroComfort 2.0 which she’s a big fan of:

Looking after your bike whilst travelling is a huge headache but with the Scicon AeroComfort 2.0 this is a weight taken off your mind. Easy to pack and with some great features to protect your whole bike, it is a must have for anyone flying with their bike.

Sarah is currently working towards yet another world record- the women’s hour record which she’ll attempt on the 28th February at the London Olympic Velodrome. It’s her biggest challenge since returning to competition after the birth of her daughter last year.

If you’re interested in taking part in a Sports Tours International trip then Scicon are offering all readers an exclusive 10% discount on all Tour De France and L’Étape Du Tour trips with discount code: SCI15
