THE POWER OF RED – BAHRAIN MERIDA TEAMS UP WITH SCICON
With the first of its official partnership announcements for the coming season, Scicon is pleased to announce that it will be providing the newest team on the professional cycling circuit, BAHRAIN MERIDA Pro Cycling Team, with a full selection of technical bags accommodating both riders and staff.
The team will be using a range of custom red Scicon technical bags, including the Scicon® Aerocomfort Road and Triathlon 3.0 TSA Bike Travel Bags, Scicon Race Rain Bags, Podium Bags, Medical Bags, Cooler Bags and Scicon Director Messenger Bags.
We are grateful to be associated with the BAHRAIN MERIDA Pro Cycling Team and especially proud to be part of the Government of Bahrain’s vision. Supporting the BAHRAIN MERIDA Pro Cycling Team with a special eye-catching range of our Scicon products is yet another way for us to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to the professional sport of cycling and its growth within Bahrain and the Middle East. We praise the Government of Bahrain and its consortium of sponsors for their vision and are confident that this will be a successful initiative, one which will serve to put Bahrain on the map as a center for professional cycling in the Middle East.
Christian Pearce, Scicon Brand Manager, speaking about the new partnership
The newly-formed BAHRAIN MERIDA Pro Cycling Team will be led by 2016 Giro d’Italia winner and multiple Grand Tour victor, Vincenzo Nibali. A huge supporter of the team, His Highness Sheikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa will also receive his own custom Scicon Aerocomfort Road 3.0 TSA Bike Travel Bags, showing off the team logo, a logo representing the key aspects of the team’s ethos – a bike wheel in its outer rings, red and white of the national flag of Bahrain, and the inner golden emblem representing gold as the most precious and sought after element and prize there is.
Having Scicon as a partner of our team is a signature of guarantee, traveling internationally with bicycles and material is becoming more and more common as ways of getting to races on the UCI calendar and having Scicon products helps make our work that much easier. We thank Scicon immensely for their support and partnership as we know how important this area of the team is to our staff and riders.
BAHRAIN MERIDA Pro Cycling Team Manager, Brent Copeland
The team’s new array of Scicon technical bags will first be put to use in the opening week of January when the team comes together in Bahrain for its official launch. The riders and bags will then split into three teams, one heading to the Tour Down Under, another to Argentina for the Vuelta Ciclista a la Provincia de San Juan, while the remaining riders head to Spain on training camp.SHOP NOW
