60-Second Interview with Uplace-BMC Triathlete Helle Frederiksen

Helle Frederiksen is no stranger to the podium. She’s already placed 1st at Ironman 70.3 Brazil, 1st at Ironman 70.3 Texas and 3rd at Challenge Dubai. The Uplace-BMC triathlete has been competing at professional level since 2008 and has represented Denmark at the 2012 London Olympics.

In 2015 Helle focuses her career towards the World Championships Ironman 70.3 and the Challenge Triple Crown series. She took 1 minute out of winning to chat with Scicon about her fears, achievements and her Welsh spoon…

Biggest Fear? Lacking the sense of fulfilment.

Great obstacle? Overcoming defeat.

Superstitions? I’m not superstitious in any way.

Biggest achievement? Becoming an Olympian, winning Challenge Bahrain and Hy-Vee Elite Cup.

Favourite Cycling Destination? Mallorca, Spain.

Favourite song to work out to? A Kygo Remix collection.

Spirit animal? Dolphin.

Good Luck Charm? A Welsh love spoon that travels with me to all races.

One thing nobody knows? I won’t retire from this sport until I’m satisfied I can’t get any faster.

Never have I ever… been white water rafting.

Best thing about having a Scicon bike box? I don’t have to fear packing the bike!

Helle travels with the AeroComfort Triathlon
