60-Second Interview with Orica-GreenEDGE Rider Simon Gerrans
Simon Gerrans may have fallen into cycling by accident, but his success ever since has been the product of determination, and unwavering commitment. Now with a stage win in each Grand Tour -the only Australian to do so- and a coveted two day stint in the Tour de France yellow jersey, Gerrans is a bone fide Australian success story.
The Aussie cycling superstar sets aside a minute to speak to us about his family, the alps, good luck charms (or lack of) & his Scicon bike bag.
Biggest fear? Letting people down.
Greatest obstacle? Still waiting for it.
Biggest achievement? Family.
Favourite cycling destination? The Alps.
Favourite song to work out to? Back in Black, AC/DC.
Spirit animal? My star sign is Taurus…?
Good luck charm? Don’t have one.
One thing nobody knows? I don’t have a good luck charm
Never have I ever… Had a good luck charm.
Best thing about having a Scicon bike bag? Super quick and easy to pack. Protects my bike really well while travelling!
