60-Second Interview with Lampre-Merida Rider Rui Costa



Rui Costa is a Portuguese road racer who’ s best known for winning the 2013 UCI Road World Championships in Tuscany and was the first Portuguese rider to do so. He’s also won various stages of the Tour De France alongside 3 consecutive wins at the Tour De Suisse in 2012, 2013 and 2014. He’s been packing safe and riding fast with Team Lampre- Merida since last year and has given us one minute of his time to talk about his obstacles, good luck charms and red wine. 




Biggest fear? To lose my family.

Greatest obstacle? Time

Superstitions? I do the sign of the cross always before each race.

Biggest achievement? World Championship

Favourite cycling destination? Switzerland

Favourite song to work out to? I Can not choose just one.

Spirit animal? Lion.

Good luck charm? Four Leaf Clover.

One thing nobody knows? I am fond of red wine.

Never have I ever… Played drinking games.
